What you will Learn This course includes all the chapters of chemistry of class 10 with the theory of NCERT This includes the detail description of each and every topic at competition examination level. This course makes very easy to study for students as every thing is explained in very simple manner It is very fruitful for the students for school exams as well as competition level examinations. First chapter is chemical reactions and chemical equations which has introduction part, chemical reaction, characteristics of chemical reaction, types of chemical equations, balancing of chemical equations, limitations of chemical equations, types of chemical reactions including addition reaction, decomposition reaction, displacement reaction, double displacement reaction, oxidation and reduction reaction, redox reaction, combustion reaction with perfect examples of each and every reaction. Second chapter is acids, bases and salts. In this chapter we have included the concept of acids, types of acids, chemical properties of acids , bases, types of bases and chemical properties of bases. Further it has conduction nature of acidic and basic solutions, role of water in the inisation of acids and bases, effect of dilution.Concept of indicators including litmus, phenolphthalein, methyl orange, red cabbage juice turmeric juice.Concept of neutralisation and it's applications, PH scale, significance of PH in daily life. Further it has salts, types of salts, uses of some common salts in daily life. Third chapter is metals and non metals which includes position of metals and non metals in the periodic table , physical and chemical properties of metals and non metals, reactivity series of metals and it's applications, concept of ionic and covalent bond , properties of ionic and covalent compounds, occurance of metals, concept of minerals and ores, metallurgy and different methods of purification of metals, corrosion of metals. Fourth chapter is carbon and it's compounds which includes bonding in carbon that is covalent bond, concept of octet, characteristics of covalent compounds, different allotropic forms of carbon like diamond, graphite and fullerene, versatile nature of carbon, hydrocarbons and it's types, classification of organic compounds, nomenclature of organic compounds, isomerism in organic compounds, chemical properties of carbon compounds and detail properties of some important carbon compounds , soaps and detergent. 5th chapter is periodic table and periodicity in properties which includes history of periodic table and modern periodic table and merits, demerits and characteristics of modern periodic table. And further it includes different properties like atomic size, valency and their applications. At the end of each sub topic we have included some good quality questions in the form of DPP ( daily practice problems) to check the improvement of students and solutions to these are also included to cross check the answers given by the students.
